Context

Otic Foundation, a Ugandan NGO founded by Nesta Paul Katende, runs free and low-cost AI-literacy training out of the government's National ICT Innovation Hub in Nakawa, Kampala, under formal endorsement from Uganda's Ministry of ICT and National Guidance.

Activities

Programmes including the "AI in Every City" campaign, run jointly with the Data Scientists Network (DSN), train participants in Microsoft Power BI for data visualisation, Python for machine learning, and prompt engineering for generative-AI tools such as ChatGPT.
