Context

The University of Liechtenstein leads "Pathfinder", an EU Erasmus+ KA220-HED project (grant 2023-2-LI01-KA220-HED-000178579) running since January 2024 with partners LAB University of Applied Sciences (Finland), the University of Dubrovnik (Croatia) and Formatio Private School (Liechtenstein).

Objectives

The consortium aims to pioneer AI technology in higher education, facilitate innovation and nurture entrepreneurial resources across the partner institutions.

Activities

Between August 2024 and January 2025 the partners delivered ten 3-hour, face-to-face teacher-training workshops across LAB's Lahti and Lappeenranta campuses in Finland, covering AI fears/ethics, AI fundamentals and prompt engineering, AI-driven curriculum planning, and AI-assisted teaching. The consortium is also building three software platforms (SAGE, GUARD and ARTISAN) to support responsible AI adoption on campus, and a follow-on AI course for students is planned for 2025-2026.

Results

Training-delivery details (ten workshops across two Finnish campuses) are published, but no independent evaluation of learning outcomes is available yet.

Conclusions

Funding runs through December 2026, after which outcome data on the tools and the planned student course should become available.
