DK01ReDI School DK is the Copenhagen chapter of the non-profit ReDI School of Digital Integration, working to provide women with refugee and migrant backgrounds with digital skills and a network of fellow students, volunteers and alumni for new social and professional opportunities, aiming to support their accelerated integration into the Danish labour market and society. It has been supported by stakeholders including The Coca-Cola Foundation and the Velux Foundation.
The educational goal is to give students knowledge that is valued by industry, alongside IT core competencies (such as presentation skills and teamwork), professional soft skills (CVs, interview training, LinkedIn profiles) and professional networking (company visits, tech talks, conferences), while also helping companies and organisations looking to hire IT talent address the shortage of skilled workers and the gender gap in Denmark's IT sector.
The programme offers free courses across three modular levels: a Beginner level building basic understanding of computers and the digital world; an Intermediate level focused on application and analysis; and an Advanced level covering the basics of coding and programming. Laptops, internet access, classrooms and study rooms are provided free throughout. Teaching is mostly delivered by volunteers with work experience in the technology, IT or business sectors, and the school works closely with companies and organisations seeking IT talent.
