Context

From 24-29 August 2026, Togo's Ministry of Public Service Efficiency and Digital Transformation, through the newly created Togo AI Lab, ran the country's first AI Summer School (TAISS 2026) in Lome, supported by GIZ's ProDigiT programme (co-financed by Germany, Luxembourg and the EU).

Activities

The programme trained 100 students, researchers and young professionals in Python, Docker and MLflow, plus dedicated modules on data governance and AI applications for African contexts.
