TBC Bank and GAIA run a free, nationwide AI-literacy programme — Olympiad courses, hackathons, clubs — reaching 1,000+ school and university students and young professionals across every region of Georgia since 2025.
TBC Bank, Georgia's largest commercial bank, partnered with the Georgian Artificial Intelligence Association (GAIA) in 2025 to build what the two organisations describe as a comprehensive AI education ecosystem for the country. The partnership runs a slate of free, region-wide programmes: an AI Olympiad Preparatory Course and National AI Olympiad, an AI Student Club, AI and Tech School sessions, GAIA Horizons meetups, technology and AI conferences, and a National AI Hackathon.
Programmes are delivered free of charge across every region of Georgia rather than concentrated in the capital, Tbilisi. In parallel, TBC has extended AI-skills training internally to its own employees.
By mid-2026 the programmes had reached more than 1,000 school students, university students and young professionals across every region of Georgia. TBC separately trained more than 4,000 of its own employees in AI skills, a scale rare among corporate-sponsored AI literacy efforts in the South Caucasus.
Independent reporting confirms the participation figures and programme list, but neither TBC nor GAIA has published assessment data, pre/post skills testing, or independent evaluation of what participants actually learned. There is also no disclosed funding figure, and the programmes are aimed at students and professionals generally rather than at classroom teachers specifically.
