Technopark Maroc — Morocco's First Technology Incubator Network

Technopark is Morocco's first technology business incubator, founded in 2001 in Casablanca's Sidi Maârouf district as a public-private partnership anchored by CDG (Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion) and Maroc Telecom, with IBM, Microsoft and Amazon among later technology partners. It serves ICT, greentech and creative-industry startups.

To provide incubation infrastructure and support for technology, greentech and creative-industry startups, and to replicate the Casablanca model across Morocco to build a national innovation network.

The network has expanded from its original Casablanca site (2001) to Rabat (2012), Tangier, Agadir and Essaouira, with three further sites (Fez, Tiznit, Oujda) launched in 2024, together hosting 450 permanent resident companies. Technopark partners with French, Spanish, US and Canadian accelerators to support startups seeking to export internationally, and signed five international partnership agreements at GITEX Africa 2024.

Over 24 years, the network has supported more than 3,000 startups and created 15,000+ direct and indirect jobs (a cumulative figure without published annual breakdowns), with an 86% incubation success rate and a 95% overall satisfaction score. More than 35% of resident startups now export internationally.

Technopark is Morocco's longest-running and most replicated technology incubator model, though service depth and monitoring quality across the expanding site network are not formally assessed, and impact figures are aggregated over two decades rather than reported annually.
