Context

Women in Tech Brussels (WIT Brussels) emerged from the gender-policy strand of the Brussels Government's 2017 "Next Tech" digital plan. It is coordinated by Women in Business, a division of 1819.Brussels (the region's entrepreneurial hub), and is affiliated with the global WomenTech Network.

Objectives

Empower women in technology and innovation, support the creation and growth of women-led startups, encourage young girls into STEM studies and careers, and feed gender-policy input to institutional and governmental authorities.

Activities

Networking events, competence development, awareness-raising, funding support, mentorship and role-model promotion of women entrepreneurs, delivered jointly across public and private-sector partners as part of the WomenTech Network.
