Context

Wrocław Technology Park (WPT) was established in 1998 as a city-backed public company, majority-owned by the City of Wrocław and the Lower Silesian Marshal's Office. It now operates five campuses (Fabryczna, Stabłowicka, Długa, Wschodnia, Południe) totalling over 100,000 m² of laboratory and office space.

Activities

Combines physical incubation, pre-seed and seed investment via the WPT VC arm, and applied R&D infrastructure (cleanrooms, biotech labs, nanotechnology facilities), with deep links to Wrocław University of Technology and the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences.

Results

Between 2019 and 2023 the group created 2,600 specialist jobs, supported 92 patent filings, and facilitated PLN 1.7 billion in EU R&D co-financing for tenant companies. The 2023 intake brought the tenant community to 635 active companies employing 7,400+ specialists.
