Promoter
Zambian Ministry of Technology and Science / Obrizum Group
On 9 March 2026, Zambia's Ministry of Technology and Science signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Obrizum Group Ltd, a University of Cambridge-linked education-technology company, to pilot an AI-driven personalised learning platform in Zambian secondary schools and Technical Education, Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training (TEVET) institutions. The platform is designed to analyse individual students' needs and abilities in real time and adapt educational content accordingly. Officials scheduled the pilot's launch for mid-April 2026. As of the MoU announcement, no independent evaluation of learning outcomes, equity impact or data-protection safeguards had been published; the partnership is documented only through the Ministry's own announcement and technology-press coverage, so this practice is scored as an early-stage, largely unevaluated pilot rather than a proven intervention.
