Description

In November 2024 Poland's Ministry of National Education signed a PLN 6 million agreement with Warsaw University of Technology to roll out Zeszyt.online, an AI-based maths platform, to about 50,000 pupils in grades IV–VI of primary schools in the 2024/25 school year. The platform, developed with schools since 2018, adjusts task difficulty to each learner, diagnoses errors and gaps, and suggests further exercises; teachers monitor progress and decide how it is used in class.
Preliminary results announced by the Ministry in April 2026 involve more than 50,000 students and over 1,000 teachers. The Ministry reports that students using the platform showed greater skill growth than a comparison group taught without it, that close to 70% of experimental-group students said it helped them learn maths and almost 90% wanted to keep using it, and that teachers reported similar satisfaction. Schools may keep using it, with funding possible through the Cyfrowy Uczeń programme.
Evidence caveats: no effect sizes, group sizes or methodology have been published; the full report is due from the Educational Research Institute (IBE). Satisfaction figures are self-reported, and the equity and data-protection claims are goals rather than evaluated outcomes. The entry should be re-scored when the IBE report appears.
