AMMDE Awards

The AMMDE Awards are run by the Asociación Multisectorial de Mujeres Directivas y Empresarias (AMMDE) in Spain to recognise women who contribute to gender equality from their field of activity.

The awards aim to publicly recognise and make visible women who serve as references and inspiration for other women and society, encouraging women's access to managerial and leadership positions.

Two award categories are given: 'Reference Woman' in her professional field, assessed on influence, obstacles overcome and impact of projects led; and 'Professional Career of Women', assessed on career achievements, notable contributions in the social/employment field, and capacity to inspire others.

The entry frames the awards as a social-power practice that creates visible role models to encourage women's leadership; no evaluation of the awards' broader effect on women's advancement is reported.
