What works in Grenada

Grenada has implemented three major initiatives addressing digital transformation, domestic violence intervention, and gender-based violence data systems. The Caribbean Digital Transformation Project allocated US$8 million to digital-skills training, an e-services portal, and cybersecurity capacity-building, though no independent outcome evaluation measuring SME adoption or cybercrime-rate changes has been published. The Partnership for Peace programme has diverted male domestic-violence perpetrators into a 16-week court-mandated intervention since 2005, sustained through multi-sectoral partnerships, but recidivism and completion data remain unpublished. GrenadaInfoSAFE, launched under the EU-UN Spotlight Initiative with €2 million in funding, replaced paper-based gender-based violence reporting with a digital system linking multiple agencies, responding to a 2018 finding that 29% of women reported lifetime intimate-partner violence, though no post-launch outcome data has been published.
