Description

AI-THOS (Innovative Training Methods for Promoting a Culture of Ethics and Research Integrity in the Age of Artificial Intelligence) is an Erasmus+ KA220-HED cooperation project (2023-2-PL01-KA220-HED-000170392, May 2024–October 2026) coordinated by Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences in Poland, with partners including the University of Ljubljana's Faculty of Theology (Slovenia), Vilnius University (Lithuania), the National Technical University of Athens (Greece) and the NGOs Stimmuli for Social Change and Fundacja Art Transparent.
The project trains higher-education staff to teach research ethics and integrity (ERI) as AI reshapes research practice, mapping existing ERI teaching methods across Europe, building an ERI curriculum for students and researchers (finalised by December 2025), and running pilot curriculum workshops at partner universities. The consortium published four newsletters between January 2025 and July 2026 and held an AI-THOS international conference on 7 September 2026.
As of September 2026 the project has not published outcome evaluations of the pilot workshops or curriculum, so its measured impact on teacher capability or student learning cannot yet be assessed; it is included here as a documented, EU-funded governance and ethics-training practice still in its pilot phase.
