Aidants Connect is a public digital service run by the Incubateur des Territoires of the ANCT. It lets professional helpers (social centres, associations, France Services, public bodies) act on behalf of users facing digital or literacy barriers. A dematerialised mandate defines the scope of procedures; once mandated, the helper reaches the user's account on FranceConnect-enabled sites with a traced, two-factor login, replacing the risky habit of keeping users' passwords in notebooks or files.
Timeline per beta.gouv.fr: construction phase from 13 March 2019, acceleration from 15 March 2021, consolidation from 1 January 2024. National deployment began in four waves from March 2021 (Banque des Territoires); about 300 mandates were issued in the pilot with roughly 20 associations and territories, and 10 million euros of recovery-plan funds were earmarked to train digital supporters.
The public statistics page reports (cumulative since 2020, checked October 2026): 601,655 procedures, 79,943 people accompanied, 152,880 mandates, and currently 12,448 authorised helpers in 3,348 organisations. Most mandates are one-year (62%).
Limits: only professional helpers in eligible organisations may join; family carers, volunteers, civic-service members and elected officials are excluded. beta.gouv.fr itself flags a missing risk analysis. We found no independent outcome evaluation of whether assisted users become more autonomous; the figures are the programme's own usage statistics.
