AMEDY - Active Media Education for Disabled Youth

AMEDY (Active Media Education for Disabled Youth) is a European Erasmus+ project addressing the digital-world challenges faced by young people with developmental disabilities and the requirements of professionals working with them, coordinated by Stiftung Digitale Chancen (Germany) with partners UC Leuven-Limburg (Belgium) and IASIS NGO (Greece). Although young people with developmental disorders show high interest in digital technologies, they are highly affected by cyberbullying and victimisation and need special support.

Support children and young people with developmental disabilities to become well-informed, empowered and media-literate European citizens, counteracting the digital divide through a strength-oriented approach.

Adapting the blended-learning training offer developed by the earlier 'Digital Skills for You(th)' project (for socially/educationally disadvantaged young people) to the needs of young people with developmental disabilities, producing it in English, German, Greek and Dutch; developing a Support Strategy Paper and a toolbox with awareness-raising guidelines.
