Context

The AIDIG project is a Czech National Recovery Plan-funded initiative, implemented by the National Pedagogical Institute of the Czech Republic (NPI) from January 2024 to 2026, that trains teachers at primary, secondary and vocational levels in AI, cybersecurity, media literacy and digital well-being, built around the European DigCompEdu competency framework.

Activities

Results

No student-outcome evaluation of AIDIG itself has been published. As contextual evidence, the OECD's 2024 TALIS survey found Czech teachers had the highest AI adoption rate in Europe at 46%, compared with an OECD average of 36% and neighbouring Hungary (23%) and Slovakia (29%); longitudinal research from 2023-2025 found a shift among Czech teachers from exploratory use toward more structured, pedagogically grounded AI practice.
