Digital Skills for You(th)

The Digital Skills for You(th) project aims to help young people, especially from socially or educationally disadvantaged backgrounds, to develop digital literacy as a key competency for their personal development and active participation in society as well as for their professional development.

The project empowers young people, in a strength-oriented approach, to use the social web actively, autonomously and safely, laying the foundations for competent use of upcoming digital media appliances and devices, especially in the mobile online environment. It also raises awareness among professionals working with young people of digital literacy as an important requirement for personal development and identity building, providing them with useful basic knowledge and methods to address the opportunities and challenges of digital media in their work with young people.

The project develops a blended learning concept responding to the needs of professionals working with young people, along with curricula for face-to-face training accompanied by online learning material and online learning units offering consolidation in specific digital media subjects, including a toolkit.
