Context

#EusouDigital (#IAmDigital) is a national Portuguese digital-inclusion programme run by .PT, FCT and INCoDe.2030 in partnership with MUDA, aimed at people who currently have no interaction with the online world — including unemployed people, people facing social problems, migrants and elderly people.

Objectives

To promote and develop digital inclusion in Portugal by reaching people with no current internet interaction and building a lasting national network of local training centres.

Activities

The programme opens with a National Roadshow delivered by volunteers close to participants' communities, teaching first steps in internet use and its everyday advantages. Participants try Google and Microsoft virtual-reality glasses and are encouraged to share what they learn with friends and family. The roadshow also aims to build a national network of digital-inclusion training centres through partnerships with neighbourhood organisations.
