Future Collars

Future Collars (known as Coders Trust until 2020) teaches programming and digital competences to widen access to IT education and work, particularly for people facing mobility limitations, distance from cities, or other barriers to accessing conventional training, and aims to increase women's presence in the IT labour market.

To democratise access to IT education and employment through flexible, mentored online learning, connecting graduates with potential employers and helping companies upskill existing staff.

Training runs on an e-learning platform with live lessons from experienced IT practitioners, individual mentoring and portfolio-building projects, covering courses such as Java Development, Front End Developer and User Experience Designer; the model combines bootcamps, women-focused return-to-work and entry-to-tech programmes, employer webinars, and an outplacement programme, with course funding available through the Polish Labour Office covering up to 100% of costs for eligible unemployed, older (45+) or jobseeking participants.

Future Collars was recognised by European Venture Philanthropy as one of the most interesting social businesses in the CEE region; the organisation describes its model as combining mentoring, remote learning and teamwork, though no participant outcome data (e.g. completion or employment rates) is reported on the page.
