BE10ICT 4 the Elderly addresses 'online ageing' among adults aged 55-75 with minimal or no engagement with digital technology, aiming to up-skill their digital competences and raise awareness of internet opportunities. It is a strategic partnership project funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union.
To collect best practices from prior EU and nationally funded projects, develop a training manual and online academy, pilot the training with older-adult 'ambassadors', and produce policy recommendations for transferability and upscaling.
The project is organised in three outputs: (O1) collecting best practices and open educational resources; (O2) developing a training manual and an Online Academy (led by Ynternet.org Foundation and Simbioza); (O3) producing policy recommendations (led by ALL DIGITAL) based on piloting results. Two pilot trainings of 12 participants each were run in Malta and Berlin, coordinated by the Malta Communication Authority, with partners Simbioza Genesis (Slovenia), Foundation Ynternet.org (Switzerland), Stiftung Digitale Chancen (Germany) and ALL DIGITAL (Belgium).
Implementation detail (cost, timeline, staffing, conditions for success) is not yet available for this practice.
