Context

The Local Coalition for e-skills and jobs in Latvia (E-skills partnership) is a multi-stakeholder memorandum established in 2013 under the EU Grand Coalition for Digital Jobs, uniting government ministries, LIKTA, industry partners (Microsoft, Lattelecom) and Latvia's library network to improve ICT training, youth uptake of ICT, and digital-literacy awareness.

Results

After one year, reported participation included 999 teachers, 2,364 state/municipal officials and citizens, 11,822 unemployed/job seekers, 515 people in lifelong-learning activities, 876 librarians, 3,150 ICT-sector employees, 1,200 young people in the 'My future job with IT' project, 700 young people at Microsoft Latvia seminars, 10,000 seniors (50+), 2,051 employees trained at 617 small/micro enterprises, and 8,500 tests taken.
