RS11The Science Technology Park Belgrade opened in 2015 as Serbia's first science-technology park, established through a partnership between the Government of Serbia (Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development), the City of Belgrade, the University of Belgrade, and the Swiss Government, which contributed EUR 4.97 million across two funding stages via the Swiss-Serbian Cooperation Programme.
The park aims to accelerate the development of tech companies through shared physical and programmatic infrastructure, bringing together government, city, university and donor partners in a quadruple-helix model.
It runs eight tailored development programmes, including the ParkUP! student startup bootcamp and the Raising Starts pre-seed accelerator, alongside three physical innovation laboratories (3D, Laser and Electro) and a softlanding service for international companies entering the Serbian market; it also hosts the Business Technology Incubator of Technical Faculties Belgrade (BITF) and Serbia's Innovation Fund on site.
As of 2026 the park has supported more than 240 tech companies, roughly two-thirds of them early-stage startups, employing over 2,800 staff and exporting to more than 60 countries; its operating model has since been extended to three further Serbian cities (Novi Sad, Niš and Čačak) plus affiliated innovation hubs in Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Reported figures on companies, jobs and exports come from the park's own reporting and a European Investment Bank donor case study; no independent academic evaluation of net additionality was found.
