Context

Adopted in the wake of the EU's 2016 New Skills Agenda and the EU2020 strategy on lifelong learning, the project targeted disadvantaged seniors (60+) who were retired, unemployed, marginalised, rurally isolated or low-skilled, aiming to support active ageing and social inclusion through digital competence.

Objectives

Re-skill or up-skill disadvantaged seniors' digital competences to support active citizenship, e-governance, e-participation and personal development, and to build the capacity of adult educators working with this group.

Activities

A five-country partnership (Sweden, Cyprus, Greece, Bulgaria, Italy) designed a digital-skills toolkit for seniors and piloted 'one-stop support centres', delivered both online and in-house, offering lifelong-learning opportunities for digital-skills acquisition.
