Identify barriers to women's entrepreneurship in Ireland and provide policy guidance in entrepreneurship skills, access to finance, and the regulatory/institutional environment.
Assessment of current and planned supports for women's entrepreneurship in Ireland, producing strengths/weaknesses analysis and policy recommendations.
The report recommends: support for women growing existing businesses (networks, management skills, risk management, international markets); improved treatment of the self-employed relative to employees on maternity and unemployment benefits; improved childcare access including tax incentives; and scale-up of established initiatives (Competitive Feasibility Fund, Competitive Start Fund, Going for Growth, NDRC Female Founders).
