Description

On 12 August 2026, Montenegro's Minister of Education, Science and Innovation, Prof. Dr. Anđela Jakšić-Stojanović, signed a new four-year partnership agreement with Oracle Academy — the third consecutive agreement since the collaboration began in 2018. The agreement gives roughly 220 educational institutions, about 400 educators and nearly 4,000 students free access to Oracle Academy's technology curriculum, software, cloud resources and educator professional development, with Artificial Intelligence taught alongside Java programming, SQL/database design and cloud computing.

Montenegrin national broadcaster-adjacent outlets and the state news agency MINA reported matching figures for institutions, educators and students, and quoted the Minister linking the renewal to the country's efforts to prepare students for AI-driven labour-market change.

As a curriculum-access and teacher-training partnership rather than a classroom trial, no independent measurement of student learning gains from the AI modules has been published; the evidence available concerns programme reach and continuity (three signed terms since 2018) rather than measured impact.
