Description

Udir first released an AI competence package in March 2023 as a 'start-up package for discussions in schools', and relaunched it in June 2024 with new content and structure (last updated November 2024).
It has three modules: an introduction to AI with leadership support for assessing services (privacy, security, age-appropriateness); learning, formative assessment, curriculum and reflective AI use in teaching; and practical use of AI tools and their role in student learning. Each includes discussion tasks for professional learning communities. It is delivered via Canvas without registration, and participants are notified of updates.
Cautionary note: Udir's own director for digital services acknowledged the agency had little time and that knowledge on the field remained insufficient. Neither source publishes uptake figures or learning outcomes, so impact is unproven.
