Contexto

Royal Decree 902/2020 establishes a legal framework in Spain for equal pay for work of equal value, addressing one of the core elements of real and effective equality between women and men.

Objetivos

The decree sets out specific measures to enforce the right to equal treatment and non-discrimination in remuneration between women and men, establishes mechanisms to identify unjustified or discriminatory pay gaps, and defines the principle of pay transparency and the obligation of equal pay for work of equal value. It is structured in four chapters, eleven articles, four additional provisions, one transitory provision and four final provisions.
