Context

On 10 October 2024 Germany's newly formed Bildungsministerkonferenz (BMK) - the education-specific successor body within the Kultusministerkonferenz (KMK) - adopted a joint, non-binding recommendation on how all 16 German states' school systems should approach artificial intelligence, with drafting led by North Rhine-Westphalia's education ministry.
