IT Fitness Test

The IT Fitness Test is run in Slovakia by the IT Association of Slovakia under the Digital Coalition — the National Coalition for Digital Skills and Occupations of the Slovak Republic — an initiative with 21 founding members spanning public, private, academic and civic organisations, launched with the participation of the European Commission and the Slovak Deputy Prime Minister's Office for Investment and Informatisation, running since 2012.

To measure the level of IT skills in the Slovak population — primarily testing the digital competences of primary and secondary school pupils and the IT knowledge of teachers — and to prepare young people for the job market via an employer-recognisable certificate.

An optional Information section plus a Knowledge-Competence section covering 5 areas: 20 questions for elementary-school participants, 25 for secondary school/university participants, with practical (not purely theoretical) tasks reflecting real online and office-software situations. All test-takers receive a certificate on completion; schools receive statistical results to inform curriculum changes, and teachers receive individual results to tailor teaching.
