Context

Maharah ('skill') Coding School is a Libyan coding-education initiative implemented by private training provider Libyan Spider, funded by the EU and supported by UNDP; its inaugural Coding Academy ran December 2023-March 2024 across Tripoli, Benghazi and Sebha, offering parallel full-stack web-development and mobile-app-development tracks to 18-30 year-olds.

Results

The academy delivered 148 hours of training and produced 142 graduates across the three cities, who received certificates and attended a job fair; the initiative continued afterward with an Urban Tech Initiative and a Blitz Build programme.
