ITI4Nonni su Internet ('Grandparents on the Internet'), run by Fondazione Mondo Digitale since 2012, is an intergenerational digital-literacy programme in which school pupils, coordinated by an ICT-experienced teacher, tutor over-60s through a free 30-hour course (basic computer use, email, internet browsing) held in school computer rooms.
Across fifteen editions, the programme has graduated 37,000 senior internet users (about 65% women), delivered by 21,800 tutor students and 2,165 coordinating teachers, and has been adopted in 20 Italian regions and 11 countries.
