Context
Elderly individuals require specialised education to use ICT flexibly in daily life and for active citizenship. Many experience anxiety regarding digital communication with government agencies, home technical equipment, and internet security threats.
Objectives
The main objectives of Senior's Learning in the Digital Society (SeLiD) are open education and innovative practices in a digital era, focusing on improving and extending high-quality learning opportunities for digital technologies and ICT, tailored to the needs of individual low-skilled or low-qualified adults.
Activities
The project concentrates on ICT skills training for elderly populations through classical teaching, group learning, peer learning, manual usage, and excursions to electronics retailers. Planned activities include ICT courses and digital skills training, excursions to shops, companies and digital agencies, needs assessment research, and development of digital competence programmes addressing home and public digital environments.
