Poland's Digital Student programme equips 12,000 schools with AI labs (1.86 bn PLN/€437 m) while Lekcja:AI and ZBADAI offer free three-level AI training for teachers; ~13,000 enrolled by mid-2025; 45% of Polish teachers now use AI, above the OECD average of 36%.
Only 1% of Polish schools had any AI facility before the programme, and 27% lacked Wi-Fi, according to a 2025 Educational Research Institute baseline survey — the gap the Digital Uczeń programme was designed to close.
Digital Uczeń aims to equip primary and secondary schools nationwide with AI/STEM laboratories, while Lekcja:AI and ZBADAI aim to build teacher AI literacy through structured, multi-level training.
Digital Uczeń (from 2024) deploys around 16,000 AI/STEM laboratories (central AI-services unit, networked devices, interactive display, camera and software) across 8,000 primary and 4,000 secondary schools. Lekcja:AI (from April 2025) delivers three-level AI training (basic, intermediate, advanced) to a minimum of 11,000 teachers through September 2027. ZBADAI (from December 2025) offers a free five-week online course for teachers, with 200 schools additionally running supervised AI research projects.
By mid-2025, about 13,000 teachers had enrolled in digital training programmes. TALIS-aligned 2025 survey data shows 45% of Polish teachers report using AI in their work, above the OECD average of 36%. No independent assessment of student learning outcomes directly attributable to the programme has been published.
