What works in Tajikistan

Tajikistan has launched several large-scale capacity-building initiatives. Project Soro aims to integrate AI education into all 4,000 schools by 2027, having reached 100 schools and over 2,000 students by the time of reporting, though no independent learning-outcome evaluation has been published. The Socio-Economic Resilience Strengthening Project trained over 10,000 disadvantaged youth aged 16–30 in digital literacy, entrepreneurship and critical thinking between 2020 and 2025, and raised women's participation in project decision-making from 0% to 56%. UN Women and IOM's earlier initiative addressed labour-migration-related vulnerability by training 3,000 abandoned wives and securing formal government recognition of migrant families as a vulnerable category, though enforcement gaps remain unresolved.
